Tutorials from Nov 05-08, 2025
The workshop features morning lectures that introduce basics and advanced topics. In the afternoons, participants will gain experience in hands-on sessions guided by skilled tutors. The main computational workhorse for the afternoon sessions will be the all-electron code FHI-aims, which embodies all necessary methods.
The tentative contents include:
- Basics for non-periodic and periodic systems
- Excited state calculations (GW, RPA, BSE for non-periodic and periodic systems)
- Thermal and electrical transport calculations
- Artificial intelligence methods, such as compressed-sensing methods and learning the DFT Hamiltonian with DeepH, for materials science
